Network (SD-WAN) technology is a revolutionary way of routing network traffic, allowing users to connect datacentres and branches, boosting the performance of the network. Clearly understanding how this can reduce network costs while offering a cost-effective and flexible step up from a traditional WAN or MPLS service, MTN Business has now launched its own SD-WAN solution.

According to Priashan Pakiriy, Head of Enterprise Fixed Solutions at MTN Business, SD-WAN was initially brought into the market by systems integrators selling WAN optimisation devices, switches and routers. While this offered customers a substitute for their traditional MPLS service, it still meant that the underlying network was run by a third party.
