How do you prepare university students for the world of work? Exploring topics like potential, motivation and engagement, Stellenbosch University’s Dr Samantha Adams came across gamification as a research trend that was emerging in the industrial and organisational psychology field.

“I wanted to dig deeper and make it my own. Even though I’m an industrial and organisational psychologist, because I work in academia, I’m really dedicated to making sure that the experience my students get prepares them for the world of work,” says Adams. She immediately saw a link between industrial psychology and gamification.
