This was highlighted at Tech Trends launch on May 5, 2021, where Kevin Govender, Deloitte’s Africa ERP director and CIO programme leader, and Paul Khanna, Deloitte’s global innovation leader, highlighted the nine key trends that are set to influence and transform businesses in the next 18 to 24 months as organisations accelerate their digital transformation efforts to respond to the extraordinary fluctuations in customer expectations and demand since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

They were joined by Sanlam’s head of group business intelligence, Nora Labuschagne, Edward Llewellyn, supply chain director for Africa Resource Centre, and Fortune Gamanya, Deloitte’s future of work leader. Far from being perceived as a negative factor, the panelists at the webinar agreed that the opportunities presented by the pandemic outweigh the challenges and that there are very exciting times ahead.
