The most powerful information medium

Right now, you're digesting my thoughts in the most efficient encoding system known to man: text.

14 September 2016

The version you're reading is printed on paper after having being electronic in a number of intermediate formats and transmitted around the world a couple of times so that others can check it for quality purposes. This entire page's informational content can be compressed into a space of under two kilobytes, less than half the space of a Facebook or Twitter icon.

Something more substantial, such as Einstein's 1905 paper (On The Electrodynamics Of Moving Bodies), a text document that literally changed the world, takes a bit morespace, but not much.
