Sometimes, something good can come from something tragic.

Take Nokia, for instance, the once leading mobile phone maker in the world. The Finnish company started out as a pulp mill in 1865, but then evolved into an electronics group by the 1970s, eventually becoming the dominant mobile phone operator by the mid-1990s.
