The most recent event focussed on Integrated Risk Management in the public sector space and sparked much debate, informative conversation and networking, which the Public Sector ICT Forum has become synonymous for, in just twelve months.
This event took place, once again, at the Four Seasons Hotel, in Westcliff, and was host to over 100 C-suite executives from ICT across government.
The audience was treated to three superb presentations: data protection and privacy in the public enterprise, delivered by Pria Chetty, regional director of Endcode; connected society – the bigger picture, presented by Mothibi Ramusi, CIO of the National Lotteries Commission; and common cyber attacks: reducing the impact in the South African public sector, by renowned speaker Dr Peter Tobin, CEO of Peter Tobin Consultancy.
The event closed with a vigorous debate during the CIO Roundtable discussion, which included Peter Ndoro, TV and radio presenter as the moderator, and CIOs Carol Thomas, Civil Aviation Authority; Mothibi Ramusi, National Lotteries Commission; Dudley K Petersen, Department of Co-operative Governance and Department of Traditional Affairs; as well as Julius Segole, independent consultant; Dr Peter Tobin; and David Mphelo, GM enterprise sales, MTN Business.
