Fran Greyling

Fran Greyling has facilitated learning and development at local and international higher education institutions. On completion of a Master's degree in Computer-Assisted Education (cum laude) she was appointed as an instructional designer at the Tshwane University of Technology to support the integration of technologies into classroom practice.

She was subsequently offered an instructional design post at the University of Johannesburg where she worked on a doctorate in Computer-Assisted Education, which was completed in 2007. Her focus shifted from instructional design to professional development to promote the effective utilisation of Information and Communication Technologies for learning in higher education.

Fran had the opportunity to drive an eLearning strategy and support lecturers in the use of educational technologies while working as the eLearning Manager at the University of the Witwatersrand. She is currently appointed as Chief Director: eLearning at the National School Government where she responsible for championing organisational change to promote the uptake of eLearning in the public service. She continues to teach and conduct research in the field.
