Africa’s lagging internet presence hampers the continent’s development.

Largely disappointing and occasionally surprising. These were the findings of the first research into the size and state of Africa’s presence on the internet.

The results of the research are thoroughly comprehensive – all 54 countries were analysed – and led the researchers to recommend a slew of changes to make it cheaper and easier for Africans to register their own piece of cyberspace.
