Wumdrop ditches addresses

A local startup has created an app that allows users to have parcels delivered to them wherever they are.

The South African tech startup space is competitive and crowded. To make it, startups need to be able to adapt. One local company, WumDrop, has undergone several major changes to its business model since launch three years ago. In its short lifetime, it has been an online nappy retailer, an app-based courier service, and, finally, a delivery solution for e-commerce sites.

Its latest iteration is in the form of Deliver 2 Me, a web-based app that allows online shoppers to have parcels delivered wherever they are, doing away with specific addresses. Users are able to pinpoint their exact location for delivery, and have the option to alter this location if circumstances change.
