We all want to do well at the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR). Recognising the potential for emerging technologies to improve the lot of South African businesses and citizens doesn’t make you a leading edge futurist anymore.

But to get to the stage where we’re really ready to make use of big data, AI at scale, and so on, we need open, agile and reliable network infrastructure, both within the enterprise and without. Is that where the C-suite’s priorities lie? Or are we too busy focussing on the exciting buzzwords and not thinking enough about what’s needed to underpin them?
