Support for high-fliers

Even top executives need help getting past those ‘dead-end` career stages.

01 February 2006

Coaching can help.

Strange as it may seem, many top executives are plagued by the same self-doubts, fears and career dead-ends that the lower echelons experience. The trouble is, when you`re at the top, it`s not that easy to ask for help, and there usually isn`t anyone more senior to go to for advice.

This, apparently, is where executive coaching comes in. Fast catching on in South African corporates, executive coaching is a system of “challenging” executives to help them identify and overcome their weaknesses, capitalise on their strengths and improve their leadership skills.
