Massively addictive online games

Through the centuries humans have tried to find alternative ways to escape reality. But why waste your time on the usual drug or television cop-outs when entire worlds exist online?

Most of us find it hard to imagine spending an entire day sitting behind a computer. A number of computer users have, however, now fallen prey to a new craze which keeps them hooked for entire days or sometimes even longer, in front of their screens, building virtual currency and interacting with the other players of Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Games (RPGs). Remember when parents started to worry about their school children playing Dungeons and Dragons - an activity that would consume whole weekends at a time? Well imagine if these imaginative worlds were made even more tangible to them, complete with ever growing 3D graphical environments, a seemingly endless list of quests to complete, a character that earned money and lived in these environments and thousands of other users to play with or against. You`d be inclined to worry even more.
