Brands – some better known than others – are going head-to-head for volume as Africa’s smartphone market resumes its growth path.

Following two consecutive declines, Africa’s smartphone market bounced back in the second half of last year to post quarter-on-quarter growth of 4.4%, according to the International Data Corporation (IDC).
