According to the latest Edelman Trust Barometer report, trust seems to be inching upwards again aft er several years in the doldrums. But there’s a caveat: when trust is split between informed groups and the general public, the gap is considerable.

The vast majority of respondents also feel the system is failing them and have a real desire for change. Drilling down into the media, search engines are the most trusted at 66 points (out of 100), followed by traditional media with 64 points.
