African companies are using drone-based imaging to boost productivity.

From Amazon to Alibaba, there has long been talk of commercial drones taking to the sky to deliver goods.

In Africa, the first dronebased deliveries were actually used for good rather than profit, with the likes of Zipline, LifeBank and Avion using Unmanned Autonomous Vehicles (UAVs) to deliver lifesaving blood and emergency medical supplies in countries like Rwanda, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Ghana and Nigeria.
