The World Fair, Expo 2020, is scheduled to be hosted in Dubai later this year, and the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) is scaling up its African investment, shifting its focus to small and medium African businesses and startups.

“We are trying, as a region, to connect the Gulf with Africa and Africa to the world through Dubai,” says Hamad Buamim, the president and CEO of DCCI. “We started these efforts back in 2007 and it evolved into a big event in 2012 – the Global Business Forum.
