The empowerment deal that saw the J&J Group acquire 30 percent of JSE-listed IT solutions and services group Faritec, far from being a cosmetic one, appears to have begun generating dividends for both companies.

Faritec promised in March that its R1.24 million loss for the six months to December last year was only temporary and that it would post a profit for the full year.

The second half was expected to show a considerable improvement over the first as a result of a pending empowerment deal, an improved pipeline and the investigation of new services to add value to the group`s products.
