White Noise

Paper money

Ironically, the best little business in MGX is as old economy as old economy can get. Forests worth of paper, floors full of clerks, several huge warehouses and a fleet of light delivery vehicles account for almost half the group`s revenue.

Deep in the bowels of the MGX building, where the corridors are a dreary shade of grey and the concrete floors are dirty, there`s a hive of activity. Clerks frantically work their way through boxes of papers. If the group`s affairs had been properly documented in the first place, one might have suspected Enron-style document destruction.

On the face of it, it sounds tedious. But demand for the company`s services is high and growing fast, and the sheer logistics of handling billions of documents – without losing any – is staggering.
