I work from home. Being self-employed and a writer, it’s a perfect fit. I can take my work where I want, and I might occasionally beaver away at a coffee shop. But I like the ability to close my door, watch my cat settle in for her daily 18-hour nap, and crank away at the various tasks demanding my attention. I’ve learned to be very productive and disciplined. Overall, it’s been a major improvement for me.
But it’s not for everyone, which is why the Covid-19 outbreak is a slight blessing in disguise. We can finally tackle some of the dogma around this idea.
