Keeping healthy during COVID-19

The Covid-19 crisis has introduced a new farewell into the lexicon, with people saying ‘stay healthy’ instead of the traditional ‘goodbye’.

However, staying healthy during a global pandemic takes effort and forethought, according to a speaker at the recent BCX Wired4Women Tech Forum, who was offering practical advice on how to navigate this new way of life. Joni Peddie is CEO and behavioural strategist at Resilient People, an organisation that focuses on mental and emotional resilience, as well as health and well-being in the workplace. She explains that it is important to do all you can to boost your immune system, in order to stay strong and healthy in these strenuous times. To this end, she offers five practical tips to improve your health.

“Taking good care of your physical, emotional and mental health is vital, as this is all one ecosystem that is interconnected. To this end, I recommend a model called BOOST, a proactive way of tackling basic health issues and ensuring your body and mind are more resistant to infection,” she says.
