What should the objectives be for the sector when it comes to reshaping its digital capabilities? First, it needs to embark on a digital journey so it can fully realise the potential of new technologies such as smart boards, collaborative workspaces, and the radical changes wrought by the pandemic. Many institutions were thrust towards digital to ensure they remained online and connected to their students, and many still haven’t realised the full potential of the ecosystems they now own. In this roundtable, industry leaders and higher education decision-makers discussed how the sector can remain relevant and how it can leverage applications and technological innovations to transform teaching, learning, student engagement and faculty performance.
