Mobile health directories in South Africa

If South Africans rely so heavily on mobile internet access, why are our databases not mobile-friendly?

The 2011 Census reported that almost 90 percent of South African households owned mobile phones. Of that percentage, only 20 percent of those mobiles are smartphones. Feature phones currently dominate households, due to their low cost yet easy usability levels.

As the market evolves and smartphone prices decrease, this demographic will change. For now, though, innovative ways of getting health-related information to all South African citizens abound.
