Automation: a technology trend to fear or embrace?

Automation can make work a lot better, but some still resist the idea. Why?

07 October 2021

Digital automation is not a hard sell. For workplaces threaded with clusters of different processes, automation is very appealing. As Nuno Martins, senior channel solutions architect at Red Hat, points out: “Automation is basically taking away the problem of repeating tasks. We give our systems the tasks that we don’t want to do. That ultimately allows us to free up our teams, as well as ourselves, to focus on innovation, which gives business more value.”

For example, it can reduce errors in financial transactions, such as insurance claims, says Sasria SOC’s CIO, Sam Nkosi.
