Lorien Gamaroff, the well-known personality in the South African blockchain community, will be the MC at the fourth annual Blockchain Africa Conference in Johannesburg in March 2018.

Gamaroff has a deep understanding of the technology behind blockchain and cryptography, and is able to speak about in a way that most non-technical people can understand. This has seen him address organisations all over the world, such as the IMF, the World Bank, the FBI, and the Commonwealth Secretariat. He also worked with and addressed the South African Reserve Bank as well as some in the banking world.
