Motswedi buys into size

From a start-up 16 years ago, JMR Software is a local success story with long-term plans to remain in South Africa. And since Motswedi just became majority shareholder, the latter addresses a problem that led to acrimonious fronting disputes with MGX.

Mike Richards started JMR in 1987 as a one-man show offering contracting services (with himself as the programmer) and software solutions to the insurance market.

JMR Software was already making major strides in the local IT space when last month`s deal with Motswedi was announced. With Motswedi on board, it`s now a major black economic empowerment player too.
