Graeme Lockley, Investec

Miro makes it easy for teams to collaborate, share ideas, project-manage and communicate across companies and geographies. It has over 50 million users and boasts more than 100 apps and integrations developed by partners and customers. The platform is estimated to be worth $17.5 billion and has a customer list that includes Deloitte, Dell, Shopify, Investec, Global Kinetic and iiDENTIFii. In this edition of CIO Thoughts, we chat to iiDENTIFii head of product Jean Blignaut, Global Kinetic’s COO Lorén Rose, and Investec’s systems architect Graeme Lockley.

Rose says Global Kinetic designs digital products for its customers, and, in the process, works out the concept, target audience and value proposition. It will also track the user journey and technical design parameters, such as architecture and data flows. “This means we need diverse opinions to come up with the right concepts. Before the pandemic, we would get everyone in a room and do a whiteboarding session. Then we needed a way to facilitate this remotely with our customers and experts. This drove us to Miro.”
