Spare a thought for Mohammad Moniruzzaman. The software developer had a cushy job at Nvidia, a senior role in their blossoming automotive software division. Moniruzzaman had previously worked at Valeo, a major automotive supplier, and had a chance to engage with his old colleagues again when Nvidia and Valeo won contracts on a lucrative vehicle project.

Alas, he forgot that when he left his previous employer in 2021, Moniruzzaman copied a whole bunch of confidential source code and company documentation. If he had remembered, he wouldn't have shown the code in a screen-share during a meeting with Valeo's engineers. Oops, right? Now, Valeo is suing Nvidia, and Moniruzzaman is facing jail time.
